2005, light installation

This light installation transforms the visual perception of the public by creating programmed on-off sequences, all of them different. The windows appear as luminous coloured intangible shapes. They are turquoise or red: two complementary colours. The turquoise lights stay on all the time, while the red lights switch on and off in constantly varying sequences. When the red comes back on it instantly creates a sense of dizziness. Each new sequential variation creates a surprise for the eye, which is not prepared to receive the optical message and does not have time to adapt to the two complementary coloured lights.
